Finally, the cabinet actually has usable storage instead of that giant wasted gap. The shelf fits the 28-inch width perfectly and the steel feels sturdy enough to hold my heavier tool boxes without any sag. Took about a minute to snap the hooks in, which was a nice surprise.

The mounting hooks clicked in without any wobble, and the granite finish matches the cabinet perfectly—looks like it came with it. Took all of two minutes to install, and it holds my heavy tool bins without bowing. Exactly the extra space I needed.

I was worried the shelf wouldn’t sit level in my cabinet, but the steel is so rigid it holds perfectly flat even with my heavy tool bins stacked on it. The granite finish also matches the cabinet’s interior better than I expected, and the four hooks make it feel rock-solid on both sides.
