Ordered this extra shelf for the 48-inch cabinet and the 47.9" width sits flush with no wobble at all, which was my main worry. The steel feels solid enough that I've loaded it with heavy binders without any sagging, and taking it out to adjust is quick since it's removable.

Finally got around to installing this extra shelf and the fit is spot-on for the 48" cabinet, no wobble at all. The steel feels properly solid and the fact that it's removable makes cleaning way easier than I expected.
