UltraHD Stacking Top Cabinet Review: Garage Storage Solution

If you're looking to maximize vertical space in your garage or workshop, the UltraHD Stacking Top Cabinet from Seville Classics is a smart addition. This review covers the build quality, installation process, and real-world usability of this stackable metal cabinet.

Designed to sit atop the UltraHD Storage Cabinet, Granite, this top cabinet adds a second layer of secure storage without taking up additional floor space. We tested it in a typical two-car garage to see if it lives up to the UltraHD reputation.

Build Quality and Design

The cabinet is constructed from heavy-duty steel with a durable powder-coated finish that resists scratches and rust. The door hinges feel solid, and the magnetic latch keeps the door securely closed. Inside, the shelf is adjustable, allowing you to customize the interior height for different items.

At 18 inches wide and 24 inches deep, it matches the footprint of the base cabinet perfectly. The stacking design uses interlocking brackets that align with pre-drilled holes on the base unit. Once stacked, the cabinet feels stable even when fully loaded with heavy tools or supplies.

• Heavy-gauge steel construction with powder-coat finish
• Adjustable interior shelf for flexible storage
• Magnetic door latch for secure closure
• Interlocking stacking brackets for stability

Installation and Stacking

Assembly is straightforward. The cabinet arrives in a compact box with all hardware included. You'll need a Phillips-head screwdriver and about 30 minutes to attach the hinges, shelf, and stacking brackets. The instructions are clear, with labeled parts and step-by-step diagrams.

To stack, you first secure the brackets to the top of the base cabinet using the provided bolts. Then lift the top cabinet onto the brackets—it's easier with two people due to the weight. Once in place, the cabinet locks into position and can be further secured with screws into the wall studs for earthquake safety.

• Estimated assembly time: 30 minutes
• All hardware included; only basic tools needed
• Two-person lift recommended for stacking
• Wall anchoring option for added safety

Storage Capacity and Organization

Inside, the single adjustable shelf lets you store taller items like spray cans or power tool cases on the bottom and smaller parts on top. The cabinet depth accommodates standard 12-inch tool cases and bins. We found it perfect for storing automotive fluids, cleaning supplies, and seasonal gear.

For even more organization, consider adding UltraHD Shelving Hooks to the sides or using small bins inside. If you need additional shelf space, the Extra Shelf for 48" W x 24" D HOME Work Center Island Table is a compatible option for the base cabinet. The top cabinet itself can hold up to 150 pounds when evenly distributed.

• 150 lb weight capacity per shelf
• Ideal for tall items: spray cans, tool cases, bottles
• Compatible with UltraHD accessories for customization

Comparison with Other Seville Classics Cabinets
